Redbubble vs Teespring

Redbubble vs Teespring

In this post lets compare Redbubble vs Teespring, they are both popular print on demand platforms. They work in a similar fashion, i.e. you upload a design and they take care of everything else like printing and shipping.

However each one has its own unique features and process for uploading. So lets get started and see which provider is best for you.

The Ultimate Comparison Guide For Redbubble vs Teespring 2020

I have designs uploaded and have made sales on both platform, one of them is my favorite. Before I talk about that though lets try and compare some of the features.

However the fact is that you could upload your designs to both platforms, there is no need to choose just one. The best thing you can do is to try and upload a design to each platform to see which you prefer.

Redbubble or Teespring – Which Is Better?

Both sites can work on a passive basis, there is no need to do anything else other than upload your designs. You can promote your stores and listing externally if you wanted.

You are much more likely to get organic sales with Redbubble, they have a much larger marketplace and customer base. Teespring do promote some designs on their ‘Boosted Network’ but this you have no control over.

However if you are looking to grow a brand then you have no control over your customers. If you want more control or to build your own site then you are better with Printful.

Teespring YouTube Merchandise Shelf

One feature that is fairly unique to Teespring is its YouTube Merch shelf integration. This lets you sell merch to your YT audience, directly on YouTube itself.

However before you get too excited and run off to create a new channel, they have a minimum criteria:

  • You must be in the YT Partner Program
  • Have more than 10K+ subs in the US to start
  • They will manually vet every creator and each design

Which Gets The Most Traffic Redbubble or Teespring?

I think Google web traffic is one of the most important things when deciding which merch site to put the most effort into. More traffic equals more opportunities to sell your designs and more organic traffic to your listings.

According to Neil Patel’s Ubersuggest SEO tool these are the stats (15/04/2020).

Teespring.com – USA Ranks for 1.1 million Keywords and 911,000 Organic Monthly Traffic

Redbubble.com – USA Ranks for 12.4 Million Keywords and 12.4 Million Organic Monthly Traffic

Based on this metric alone Redbubble is the clear wining with significantly more traffic. This is also the same for other countries as well.

The only thing this doesn’t take into account is competition among sellers on each platform.

Summary Redbubble vs Teespring

In conclusion, both platforms are similar and you can upload both. Different customers will use each site and you will reach a wider audience. However Redbubble gets much more traffic and sales on its markeplace.

If you are a beginner just starting out then I would probably recommend you start with Redbubble. It has more organic traffic and is very easy to upload designs to.

Also they are not as strict on design dimensions and they auto size your design when uploading.
