Merch By Amazon Alternatives

Merch By Amazon Alternatives

There are lots of Merch by Amazon alternatives out there that are worth uploading your designs to. Although Amazon may be one of the biggest marketplaces, some of the smaller print on demand platforms still hold there own.

So if you are looking for new places to increase your income, read on below. I am also going to show you how to get your designs selling on Amazon using an alternative print on demand method.

Similar Platforms To Merch By Amazon

After Merch By Amazon decided to close their production facilities in March 2020 due to Covid-19, many people have seen their income dry up. It has shown that you cannot have all your eggs in one basket when it comes to print on demand.

There are some good options if you are looking to a similar user experience to merch. So we will start with print on demand platforms that operate the same, i.e. you upload a design and if it sells you get paid.

Best Merch By Amazon Alternatives

The platforms below all take care of customer service, printing and shipping. Just the same as Merch By Amazon does for you, upload and forget.

There is nothing to stop you uploading your merch designs to all these platforms and maximizing your sales.

1. Redbubble

Redbubble Tags Research

Redbubble is a great alternative to Merch. Out of all the alternatives listed here it probably has the highest amount of organic sales/traffic. Even better is that its much less strict and petty around Trademarks and Copyright.

They even have official link ups with Films/TV shows that you can make custom merch designs for. Plus they have a lot more than just T-shirts and Hoodies.

Checkout my other posts on Redbubble:

2. TeePublic

I am also a big fan of TeePublic, its very similar to Redbubble (and is now owned by them since 2018).

Out of every POD platform I use, it is probably the quickest and easiest to upload to. No more banging your head against a wall waiting for slow and clumsy uploads.

You can also expect organic sales on TeePublic.

3. Teespring

Another alternative is Teespring, it allows you to create your own store for free. You can upload your designs to a wide range of merch.

Although organic traffic is not as high they do have their ‘Boosted Network’ which may promote some of your designs.

I found the uploaded to be extremely slow compared to the others but maybe I just need a new laptop 🙄.

4. Society6

Society6 Review

Another on demand merch platform is Society6. Its is very artist focused so may depend on your designs as to if its worth while.

I found the upload process very slow and difficult to use. I uploaded a design with standard merch dimensions and it didn’t fit hardly a single item.

You have to click each product and manually adjust each one on a separate page.

You can read more about Society6 on my full review here.

5. Spreadshirt

Spreadshirt is another platform its worth checking out, they have a large range of apparel with loads of shirt & sweater options.

I found the upload process fairly easy and a design with standard merch dimensions uploaded fine.

6. Zazzle

Zazzle is a little different from the other POD platforms, its more focused on stationary like Wedding and Party Invites. Plus you have to design each item on their own online uploader.

However I know people are making great money on the platform. My friend Chris over at Money Savvy Mindset gets a cheque every month from Zazzle. Check out his course below.

Sell On Amazon Without Merch By Amazon

Whats that I hear you say. Selling print on demand merch on Amazon WITHOUT Merch By Amazon?

Yes that’s correct you can sell your merch on Amazon, fully automated using a third party on demand print provider.

To get started you just need two things, a Amazon Professional Seller account and a printing partner you can integrate with like Printful.

Amazon & Printful Integration

There are only a small number of providers that fully integrate with an Amazon Seller account. Printful is probably the best know and they also have a great reputation for customer service.

I have used Printful myself for over a year and confirm that their customer service and quality of product is great.

Watch the video below explaining how to integrate Printful with Amazon.

Once set up you can start uploading your merch designs to a wide range of products like shirts, mugs, caps and even face masks.
